Day with Benefit

If there’s a girly thing that I am not really used to, that is applying make-up. Make me do arts and crafts, cook, sew, etc. but when it comes to applying make-up, I’ll admit that I’m a newbie – a late bloomer!

Pressed powder and lip balm used to be my staples during regular days. During photo shoots or formal gatherings, I would run to the make-up artist, salon, or my mom for help.

I am careful when it comes to choosing products to put on my face. Why? First, I try to avoid acne breakout. Second, I don’t want the ‘heavy mask’ or “cakey’ feeling on my face. Third, I want to look polished without looking overly made up.

I’ve been communicating with Benefit Boutique for quite some time already. However, it was just last Sunday that I visited their branch in the Mall of Asia. Benefit is known here and abroad as a credible brand when it comes to cosmetics and skin care.

Whenever I shop for cosmetics, I would like to test the product on my own skin. Hygiene is very important for me. I’m just glad that Benefit provides disposable facial foams and lip brushes to make sure that their make-up testers would not be contaminated! (It’s a big plus!)

I spent some time in the boutique with Ms. Amy as she gave me beauty tips and tricks. She also gave me a mini-make-over!

After my appointment with Benefit, I had to rush to our college class reunion with my make-up on. My face feels light and moisturized (No cakey feeling!). I am happy that there’s no need to re-touch because it lasted until evening. Afterwards, I just washed my face with facial wash and water to remove my make-up. No need to worry about the dark stains from mascara.
